We develop high-performance control for converters and electric drives, from Finite-Control-Set and modulated Model Predictive Control to model-free and computationally efficient predictive strategies suitable for industrial microcontrollers, DSPs and FPGAs. Applications include synchronous reluctance and open-end winding machines, multilevel CHB drives and medium-voltage drives. Algorithms are validated on the experimental motor-drive setup available in the laboratory.
Key capabilities
- FCS-MPC, modulated MPC and model-free predictive control
- Open-end winding and synchronous reluctance machines
- Multilevel and medium-voltage drives
- Real-time implementation on DSP/FPGA and experimental validation
